Hello All! I am SO EXCITED to announce that 4th Grade has a Field Trip planned for February 23rd from 10-2 at the Pacific Science Center in Seattle! We will watch an IMAX movie (showings to be announced early Feburary, but rumor has it that the movie is on National Parks!!!) and then explore the exhibits. A new math exhibit has just opened up called Math Moves. You can check it all out HERE. Math Moves! uses a variety of hands-on activities to make experimenting with concepts at the heart of math memorable and fun. It encourages guests to use their minds, their bodies, and their imaginations to investigate basic math ideas and find their meaning and relevance. It also draws upon the power of teamwork, using partner activity and conversation to advance mathematical understanding. Perfect for our class! Can you tell how excited I am??
